The prestigious annual Institute of Engineering and Technology Innovation Awards showcase the very best in science, engineering and technology. Entries are now open to all categories. Innovation Warehouse has joined efforts with IET and is supporting the 2015 Startup award.
Entries to the IET Startup Innovation Award are welcomed from engineering start-ups which can demonstrate that they have solved a worthwhile problem and achieved early commercial traction. Being the second largest membership organisation for engineers in the world, participation and success in these awards can increase your reputation within the industry as well as opening up Support from the Department for British Innovation and Skills. This year the awards are being sponsored by the likes of Boeing and National Grid.
These awards cover all aspects ranging from the built environment and sustainable energy to satellite communication. If successful, winning the IET Awards offers you the opportunity to take advantage of and promote your innovative products through the extensive and exclusive channels that the IET has access. Winners of the ‘Startup’ category will also be offered eight hours of mentoring with one of Innovation Warehouse’s mentors and angel investors.
The IET Awards are free to enter, your entries will be peer reviewed and judges are particularly interested in how you got from your initial conception and idea on how the rest of the world will see value with your innovation. To enter this year’s IET Awards, visit www.theiet.org/innovation and read more on the category you are interested in, download the entry form and submit it online by 3 July 2015.
This year’s awards will be presented on the 18th of November in the heart of the City at The Brewery conference centre and will be hosted by Otis Deley, the presenter of the ‘Gadget Show’. You can enter each innovation in up to three categories, but please remember that you will need to submit a separate form for each category you enter. Good luck!
